Using the RentBetter Inbox

How to use the Inbox to reply to a prospective tenant enquiry

Once your property is advertised, all enquiries are collected and stored in your RentBetter Inbox, making it easy to keep conversations organised and respond to prospective tenants.

Whether you prefer to reply directly in RentBetter or from your own email application, every conversation stays together in one place.

Viewing Enquiries

When someone enquires about your property, you’ll receive an email notification and the enquiry will appear in your Inbox.

To view your enquiries:

  1. Log in to your RentBetter account.

  2. Select Inbox from the navigation menu at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the conversation you would like to view.

Each conversation displays the full message history, making it easy to see previous replies and keep track of communication with prospective tenants.


Replying to Enquiries

Replying from the RentBetter Inbox

To reply to an enquiry:

  1. Click the enquiry conversation in your RentBetter inbox.

  2. Type your message in the reply box.

  3. Upload any attachments if relevant.

  4. Click Send.

Your reply will be delivered to the prospective tenant and their future responses will appear in the same conversation thread.

Replying from Your Own Email

You will receive an email notification about each new enquiry and you can simply reply to that email you receive from your usual email application (E.g. Gmail).

Your response will be delivered and your email address will be included for the tenant to reply to. Any further replies from the tenant will continue to appear in your email and the RentBetter Inbox.

This means you can choose whichever method is most convenient without losing the conversation history.

Keeping Your Email Private (BETA)

If you have enabled the Reply to enquiries without sharing your email beta feature, prospective tenants will only see 'Your Name via RentBetter'.

Your personal email address will remain private whether you reply from the RentBetter Inbox or your own email application.

You can enable or disable this feature at any time from the User Menu accessed via the Profile circle at the top right > New Features.


General FAQ's

Will the prospective tenant see my email address?

If the Reply to enquiries without sharing your email feature is enabled, they will only see “Your Name via RentBetter.” If you reply to an enquiry and do not have this turned on, the tenant will see the email address you have set up for your enquiries.

Can I attach files?

You can attach photos, PDFs and other supporting documents directly within your reply via the attachment paperclip icon.

Where can I see previous messages?

All messages sent are stored within the conversation thread in your RentBetter Inbox, making it easy to review previous communication at any time.
